Gas Chromatography is a technique based on the physical separation of two or more volatile chemicals between two phases. Gas Chromatography utilizes long capillary columns with a stationary phase and a fluid phase which is the carrier gas. The separated chemicals are then analyzed by a detector instrument. OSB Lab uses only mass selective detectors (MSDs) which are superior to others because they generate unique confirmatory chemical fragmentation patterns or chemical fingerprints. |
